Attention 6th grade families: We will be resetting all 6th grade Lumen and Google passwords tomorrow Wed 8/18. Students will recieve new passwords at transition night on Thursday. Parent Lumen accounts and the accounts of students in other grade levels won't be affected.
There will be a 2nd Hanley School Supply distribution on Wednesday from 4:30-6:30pm at the United Methodist Church. ANY student in the GCMS school district that is in need of supplies is welcome to come by and pick up what they need to start school.

The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will be at the Kruse Center this Sat, Aug 21.
PreK transition night will be at GCMS Elementary School Tues August 17. Please refer to the invitation sent in the mail for the 15 min time slot you were assigned. We ask only one parent attend with their PreK student to keep numbers down. Masks will be required.

Connor Engel shot 77 on Friday to place 5th in the Centennial Invitational. Sixty golfers competed for the top spot at the University of Illinois's Blue Course. Congratulations Connor!

I could not be more proud of a community of people than I am today. We are all experiencing loss and challenge after the catastrophic flood of August 12th. Please continue to support each other as we navigate through these difficult times.
ALL GCMS buildings and fields will be available for access starting Monday morning. Please call your respective schools office if you need assistance on registration or with questions on preparation for returning for school.
Gibson City is working to collaborate all efforts for flood relief and a more in depth plan for resources and recovery support will be shared soon. Be sure to routinely check for updates on the Gibson City Website and the GCMS Website (or social media feeds from both entities).

I want to make everyone aware that ALL GCMS facilities will be closed today, Friday, August 13.
Our schools, our community, our families have experienced wide spread damage and loss from the floods of August 12th. Currently the Middle School is a temporary Red Cross Shelter with displaced families. At this time the Red Cross is facilitating all needs for these families, should needs arise we will make people aware.
I am amazed by the outpouring of support and responses by ALL of our community to rally around each other to secure the most precious asset, our people. Take care of yourselves, your neighbors, and your families in coming days. Further GCMS School District announcements will be made soon.

MS Baseball practice is cancelled for Friday, Aug. 13. Pictures have been rescheduled for Thu. Aug. 19. We will have updates regarding Saturday's games during the day tomorrow or tomorrow evening.
All GCMS practices and activities are cancelled for this evening. GCMS workouts at Elite are cancelled as well.
All GCMS Facilities are closed for the time being due to flooding. We will send more updates as we have them.
Middle School Softball practice is cancelled for today (Thu. Aug. 12). Players should plan to arrive at the field by 2:30 Friday for the home game vs. Hoopeston. Coach Harden will also reach out to all players as well.
