8:20am - 9:30am
3-4 years old
Must be potty trained
*Students don't have to come every day, for example they could come Wednesday only OR Tuesday/Thursday only, etc.

Due to poor weather and field conditions, the softball game scheduled for Friday and the baseball games scheduled for Saturday have been cancelled.

Congratulations to Kallen Robertson for earning first team all conference honors as a member of the GCMS Scholastic Bowl team. Kallen served as our captain this year and did a fantastic job leading the team!


GCMS is now hiring Summer Student Maintenance Workers. Those interested can apply in person at the GCMS High School Office or the GCMS Unit Office.


Due to the cold, damp weather, MS Girls Track practice is cancelled for today (Thu. 3/31). The girls should plan to bring warm clothes for outdoor practice tomorrow. MS Boys Track will practice indoors today until 4:45.

Today's High School Track Meet at PBL has been cancelled due to weather.

Mr. Danny is always willing to go above and beyond at the Elementary School. Mr. Danny brought in a bigger tape measure to help out the Pre- K friends in Mrs. Testory’s class when the classroom tape measures were not tall enough to measure a tower.


A big congratulations go out to the 28 8th grade students that read over 2,000 pages during the 3rd quarter! Another Congratulation to the following students who were the 8th grade Top Readers for the 3rd Quarter:
5th place: Gloria Canizzo with 3,985 pages and 13 books
4th place: Gavin Martin with 3,993 pages and 13 books
3rd place: Gage Martin with 4,472 pages and 11 books
2nd place: Elizabeth Goode with 6,868 pages and 16 books
1st place: Avery Morris with 10,302 pages and 26 books read!


The GCMS School District is excited to announce the hiring of Mr. Kent Nash as the next GCMS Middle School Principal. Mr. Nash, his wife Becky, and their two children will be relocating to GCMS from Pinellas County Florida where he has served as a middle school principal and assistant principal for the last 8 years. Prior to moving into administration, Mr. Nash served as a social studies teacher and coach in the same district. Pinellas County School District has over 100,000 students and the school which Mr. Nash led has over 1,000 students. Mr. Nash has direct Central Illinois roots having graduated from Arcola High School and Southern Illinois University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in teacher education. Mr. Nash received his Masters in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2012. GCMS is excited to welcome Mr. Nash, and his wife Becky who will serve as an elementary teacher at GCMS, to the GCMS family and community.

Middle School Track will be holding its parent meeting Wednesday, March 16 at 5:05 in the MS gym. The coaches will go over some basics about the season and meeting should last 15 minutes or so. We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible Wed. evening!
