Last spring 5 GCMS students broke All Time Weight Room Records in their respective classes. Today we were able to celebrate their achievements with custom shirts! Great job ladies, keep pushing your limits!

Attention MS Boys Basketball parents - a reminder that there will be a parent meeting tomorrow (Fri. 10/13) from 4:30-4:45 in the MS Cafeteria. Any parents who have athletic paperwork to turn in can do so at this meeting. We look forward to seeing all who can attend.
Tonight's MS Girls basketball games vs. Iroquois W. will be played at Iroquois W. Middle School in Onarga. The address is 303 N. Evergreen. The 7th Grade game begins at 5:30 with the 8th Grade to follow. GO FALCONS!
High School Parents,
The PSAT and NMSQT testing that was supposed to take place yesterday was cancelled due to technical issues on the testing site. We continued yesterday with a regular school day for our students and staff.
We are hoping to reschedule the testing for all 9-11 grade students. Once a make up date has been set, we will let all students and parents know.

GCMS High School will host a Financial Aid Parent Night on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 5:45pm in the library. A member of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will be presenting information to help simplify the financial aid process and answer any questions.
This presentation covers college costs, types of financial aid, how to apply for financial aid, financial aid award packages, and other important information. With changes to the FAFSA this year there will likely be helpful information even for those who have gone through this process before.

It is that time of the year again! The GCMS Middle School book fair begins this Friday, October 13th and goes through Thursday, October 19th. The family events are on Wednesday and Thursday evenings next week from 4pm-7pm.

Tomorrow all 9-11 grade students will be testing (PSAT/NMSQT) beginning at 8:15 AM. All testing will be done on Chromebooks. We ask that ALL students bring their Chromebooks to school fully charged for testing. Please remind your student to charge their Chromebook tonight so we can avoid any issues.

Yesterday the middle school girls basketball team members watched the University of Illinois women's basketball team practice and toured their facility. They ran into a familiar face on the way out!
