This afternoon (3:00 pm) there was a strong gas smell at the middle school. The building was evacuated and dismissal occurred. There are no leaks or dangers in the facility so after school activities are proceeding as planned. Sorry for any confusion or concern.

Students in Mrs. McDonald's classroom at the Elementary School created a Titanic museum for others at the school to enjoy. The students put in a lot of work and created a fantastic experience. Great job!
Congratulations to GCMS Senior Anneliese Kerchenfaut for being selected as a finalist in the Prairieland CEO National Pitch Competition. Her video was selected to be in the top 18 finalists from 268 submissions from across the country. Great job Anneliese!
The softball and baseball games scheduled for today, Wednesday 4/13 have been cancelled.
Lunch at the Middle School for tomorrow, Wednesday 4/12 has been changed to port roast and sweet potatoes.

Quick reminder that IAR testing at the middle school will begin tomorrow morning! We are excited to show how much our students have grown academically this year! Please be sure to have your students charge their Chromebooks tonight and bring their chargers with them to school tomorrow.

Quick reminder that IAR testing at the middle school will begin on Tuesday, April 12. All students will be taking the test at the beginning of the day. Please be sure to have your students charge their Chromebooks, bring headphones if they choose, get a good night's rest, and eat a good breakfast. We want our students to show how much they have grown academically this year!

Today's MS track meet at Clifton has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Girls track will have practice after school today until 5:00. Boys track will not practice today but will practice tomorrow after school until 5:00.
Today's MS Scholastic Bowl meet at Piper City has been cancelled. Coach O'Neall would like the Scholastic Bowl members to stay after school until 4:30 today for an intersquad scrimmage. Please have rides here at the Middle School at 4:30 for pick up.
Class of 22 parents: Please send a baby/toddler pic of your senior to Leonard.Peyton@gcmsk12.org for inclusion in the Baccalaureate slideshow. Please submit by April 29th.
