GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Monday, December 5th.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Students, this week you will be completing Fastbridge Testing.  Please try your best on these tests.  Your teachers will review these test results to determine what students need extra help in math and/or reading.  So please try your best so you will get an accurate score.

Congratulations to our boys basketball teams.  They both had games Saturday morning as part of the Twin County Conference tournament.  Both teams won their games and will continue playing in the tournament.  The next games will be played here at the middle school Tuesday night.  The 7th grade game will be played at 5:15 vs. IW and the 8th grade game will be right after that at 6:30 vs. P. Central.  Please make plans to come and support the teams. Because this is a tournament, Middle School students attending the games will have to pay a $2 admission fee

Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade volleyball players, if your parents did not attend the parent meeting on Friday please see Ms. Jurik for a packet of paperwork.  Also, please make sure all school paperwork is turned in otherwise you can’t practice.

Reminder- we invite all students and staff to wear festive clothes or accessories on Fridays in December! It has to be school appropriate and no PJs.

Message from the Grinch,

You silly ol' whos, listen carefully.

Kindness has to be given to others,

there is no better way to give to one another!

-The Grinch and his dog Max

Showing kindness towards others helps not only you feel good, but others too.

Some examples include: not judging others, helping others when possible, and making someone an unexpected card or note.

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
