GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Tuesday, November 22nd.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

No soda November announcement.

Congratulations to our 7th grade girls basketball team.  Last night they defeated Fisher by a score of 35-15.  They play here tonight vs. Bement for the Regional Championship.  Be sure to come out and support our girls.  Students, please note that you will have to pay admission to get into this game.  Student tickets cost $3.00.  The game starts at 5:30.

Congratulations to our boys basketball teams.  They were on the road last night vs. Leroy and both the 7th and 8th grade teams won their games. We want to wish both teams the best of luck tonight as they travel to Fisher.

A reminder to all MS wrestlers that practice starts next Mon. Nov. 28.  Practice will be from 3:45-6:00 at the Elem. School.  You will be dismissed at the 3:20 bell and ride a bus from here to the Elem.  Please arrange to have rides pick you up at the Elem. at 6:00.  Also, a reminder that you must have all of the required paperwork turned in to the office by Monday or else you'll have to sit out of practice.  Contact Coach Brucker or see Coach Berry if you have any questions.

Signups for MS Volleyball will be on the counter in the office by lunchtime today.  Any 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls interested in going out for volleyball should sign up and take an informational packet.  Volleyball begins in early December.  See Coach Jurik or Mr. Berry if you have any questions.

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
