GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Thursday, November 17th.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Good luck to our boys basketball teams as they have a home game tonight vs. Nash Middle School.  The 7th grade starts at 5:30PM, so students come on out and cheer the teams on.

Students, just a reminder that tomorrow is a small group day so you will be meeting with your small group during your enrichment time.

Students, I would like to take a moment to talk with you about plagiarism.  Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. So if you copy another student’s work or let another student copy your work you would be committing plagiarism.  If you are caught plagiarizing here at school the first time it happens your teacher will call home to speak with your parents.  If it happens again you will be given a referral and sent to my office.  In college, plagiarizing will more than likely result in students being expelled, or kicked out of college.  In a professional setting, plagiarism usually results in the guilty party losing their job and being sued.  So students, please understand, plagiarizing is a big deal that can have lasting consequences, so please don’t do it!

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
