GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Monday, October 24th.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Students, please be sure to check the lost and found table by the office.  The table is full of various items that students have lost.  Items that are not claimed by the end of the day will be donated to a good cause.

Warm feet mean warm hearts....Don't forget to bring in your new adult socks to donate and win a cookie cake for your enrichment class.  We have a new class leading the way!  Mrs. Allen’s class is in first place.

Geography Club will meet this Thursday at 7:30 AM in Mrs. Ricks’ room.

Thank you to all that purchased items from the book fair! We were able to earn $700 towards new books for our library!

Now for the winners of the raffle drawing:

The 5 poster winners are

Meredith Fornero, Timothy Littell, Kaden Brucker, Jaxson Spraggon, and Charity Miguel

Congratulations to all! Please go to the library at this time to get your prizes.

Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams.  Both teams won their first game in the Twin County Conference tournament over the weekend.  Good luck in your games tonight.

Congratulations to our U-14 soccer team.  On Saturday they beat Rantoul and yesterday they beat Tuscola 10-0!  The U-14 team has a record of 9-1.  Our U-12 soccer team beat Paxton 5-3.  The U-12 team is 6-0-2 on the season.

This week we are celebrating Red Ribbon Week.  The theme for today is “Don’t let Drugs Steal Your Dreams” (Wear PJs).  Tomorrow the theme is “Don’t let drugs hunt you down” (Wear camo or animal print).  Please remember that all clothing must be school appropriate.

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
