Students, we have parent-teacher conferences this Wednesday and Thursday and we will be dismissing at 2:20 on these days in order for your teachers to prepare for these conferences. Please encourage your parents to attend these conferences so they can hear from your teachers about all of the wonderful things you are doing in class.
Today is the last chance, if you have a yearbook cover design that you would like to submit, please bring it to the library at this time.
Warm feet mean warm hearts....Don't forget to bring in your new adult socks to donate and win a cookie cake for your enrichment class. Currently Mrs. Thames enrichment is in 1st place!
Students that are in the Geography Club please note that the Geography Club will not be meeting this week.
Congrats to our soccer players. They had matches this weekend. Our U-14 team beat Paxton 6-1 and Farmer City 3-0. Our U-12 team tied Rantoul 4-4. Both teams are having great seasons.
Congratulations to our Juniors JFL team. They finished their season yesterday by beating Momence for the Super Bowl! The score was 28-13. The Juniors team finished their season undefeated with an 8-0 record. We will have a parade this afternoon to celebrate the 6th grade football players and cheerleaders. I will make an announcement towards the end of 10th hour with more details.
Students, please be advised that you should NOT be using your GCMS email account to message other students. You have a GCMS email account because it is tied to a lot of programs that you use here at school. Please be advised that we can see everything that you send through your GCMS email accounts. So please keep that in mind that your GCMS email account should only be used for school activities.
Students, if you are having a conflict with another student, please tell an adult. We are here to help you. We can help resolve the conflict before it gets out of control.
We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour. This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.
Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.
