Students, yearbook cover designs are due Friday, October 14th. Stop to get the paper for your design from Ms. Ferguson in the library.
All GCMS students and families are invited to attend the Falcon Family Pre-game Celebration 2022. The fun activities take place tonight from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the high school practice field before the football game. Participants who sign-in will also receive a free book at a later date. This activity is organized by the Title I team.
Congratulations to the girls basketball teams. They had big wins over Lexington last night.
Good luck to our Junior and Senior JFL teams as they have playoff games tomorrow.
Students, as you all know today we dismiss school at 11:30. Today is also a small group day. You will meet with your small group from 11:00-11:30 today. Also please note that there is no school on Monday due to Columbus Day. So please enjoy your three day weekend.
Today we will be conducting bus evacuation drills. We will conduct these drills by grade level. 6th grade students will report to the cafeteria after I am done with the announcements. From there you will learn about bus safety then you will board the buses in the parking lot to participate in the evacuation drill. 7th grade students will participate during 2nd period and 8th grade students will be after that which will be during your 8th period class. Please report to your classes first. You will leave your school supplies in your class.
Sign-ups for 6/7/8 boys basketball are on the counter in the office. Any boys interested in going out for basketball should sign up and take an informational packet. Tryouts begin Mon. Oct. 17. See Coach Berry if you have any questions.
We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour. This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.
Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.
