GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Friday, September 16th.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. .

Today all students will meet with their small groups during 5th or 6th hour. If you need a reminder of where you are going, or what hour you are meeting- you can find the lists in the SEL Google Classroom.  Or the office can help you!

Students, the elevator is only to be used by students that have some kind of lower body injury.  If you are not hurt then you must take the stairs.

It’s hard to believe that we are at the mid-term of the 1st quarter.  Students, please stay on top of your grades.  You can check your grades at any time on Infinite Campus.  If you are not pleased with your current grades please communicate with your teachers and come up with a plan to get caught up.  Do not wait until the end of the quarter to do this as it will be too late.

Students, you need to start bringing your water bottles with you to class.  It’s very difficult for the PE teachers to stop what they are doing to let you into the building to get water when you are outside.  Also, since it is Friday please remember to take your PE clothes home today.

Next week is Homecoming week for the high school.  We will be participating in homecoming week.  Students, I will email you the dress up days today but in case you are interested, Monday is “Dress Fancy or Dress Country”, Tuesday is Tacky Tourist Day, Wednesday is Jersey day, Thursday will be Senior Citizen Day, and Friday is of course Falcon Friday.  Remember, anything you wear must fit into the guidelines of the student dress code, meaning all clothing and accessories should be appropriate for school.

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
