GCMS School District is proud to announce the addition of Mitchell Heap to the GCMS School Board. Mitchell is a 2005 GCMS graduate and lifelong resident of the school district. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural and Consumer Economics. Mitchell and his wife, Ava, have 3 children. Two are currently enrolled in elementary school. Mitchell is a third generation farmer.
Outside of working on the family farm, Mitchell volunteers at the Dewey Community Church holding various positions including Trustee and Usher. He is also a den leader for the local Cub Scout Pack 185. Mitchell is proud to serve on the GCMS School Board as he believes that his education and upbringing in the district has directly impacted his success as a farmer. He looks forward to helping to provide the best, and safest learning environment our students deserve.
