Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Tuesday, April 22
Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
Today we will hold a tornado drill. The drill will take place during 8th period. Students will report to 8th period and then an announcement will be made to begin the drill. Here at the middle school, the safe areas during a tornado are the bathrooms in the lower hallway. So when the drill begins we will need as many students into the lower level bathrooms as possible.
Be on the lookout for the hidden kindness flowers. There are flowers hidden around the school, if you find you turn it into Mrs. Warren or Mrs. Zook. You will be given an option to give a kindness shoutout to another person in the building and get your own special treat! Mrs. Warren’s class is wanting kindness to bloom throughout the building, so help them out!
Don’t fight over any of the flowers, if so anyone arguing will forfeit the option to turn in the flower for a treat.
Even if you don’t find a flower, remember you can still spread kindness - compliments, smiles, and helping each other!
Speaking of kindness, there will be a kindness club meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the library.
Signup information for youth football and cheer is in the office and if there are any questions they can contact Mrs. Warren.
Good luck to our track team as they have a home meet today after school. Track team members will be dismissed at 3:00.
Students, please make sure that you are coming to school with a fully charged chromebook. We especially need them this week for testing.
Students, please make sure that your cellphone and smart watches are put away in your locker.
Students that are eating school lunch today please be sure to sign up on the google form. First choice today are chicken nuggets and second choice is the salisbury steak. Please be sure to sign up so you get the choice that you want and to help us ensure that we have enough food for everyone.
Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.
Today is a great day to have a great day!
