Students, this is your last call to turn in a yearbook order. They were due on Friday but if you have one to turn in please turn it in to Ms. Ferguson today. This is absolutely the last day you can turn one in!
Margaret Peterson Haddix announcement: students as you know we have a famous author visiting us this tomorrow. We will use a 2:20 schedule so you will be able to attend all of your classes before the author visit. We will have an assembly where all of you can meet her and learn about how she became an author. Tomorrow evening we will host a family night at 6:00 where you can bring your family to meet her. The first 100 students that arrive at the family night will receive a free book that Margaret Peterson Haddix will sign for you.
Sign-ups for Middle School Track are on the counter in the office. All boys and girls in grades 6, 7, and 8 interested in participating in track should sign-up and be sure to take an informational packet. Track practice starts on Wed. March 13. See Coach Berry or Coach Jurik if you have any questions.
Congratulations to our 8th grade volleyball team. Saturday morning they win their first round match of the regional tournament. They play tomorrow night at 7:15 in the semifinal round against PBL. That match is being played at the grade school in Hoopeston.
Congratulations to our wrestlers on an outstanding weekend at sectionals. We have 10 GCMSF (8 are from Gibson, 2 from Fisher) wrestlers advancing to the state finals this Friday and Saturday. We will have a parade for these wrestlers Thursday afternoon just before dismissal. Congrats to Jackson Collins, Bentley Fields, Landen Lage, Cam Brucker, Ian Rotramel, Kollin Nash, Colton Johnson and Isaac Rotramel on being state qualifiers.
Good luck to our scholastic bowl team today. They will be dismissed at 3:10 for their match in Rantoul.
Please check the lost and found rack as we have accumulated quite a few items this week.
Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker. If you are eating school lunch today and have not signed up yet please do so now.
