GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Monday, September 18th.

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Congratulations to our baseball team.  They had a nice run at the end of the season but came up just a bit short on Saturday losing to a very good team from Bismarck.

Congratulations to our Junior football team.  They won over the weekend and remain undefeated.

Good luck to our girls basketball teams as they have home games today against Hoopeston.  The 7th grade game starts at 5:30 with the 8th grade game to follow.  We hope to see a lot of students in the Red Crush section tonight supporting our girls.  Speaking of the Red Crush section, here’s Jillian with an announcement.

Students, remember you get into our home games for free.  You will want to bring some extra money for the concession stand. Also, please be sure to check your email from Mr. Berry for the Red Crush section expectations.

There is information on the counter in the office for any 6th or 7th grade girls who are interested in basketball intramurals.  Intramurals begin today.  Please see Coach Leitz or Mr. Berry if you have any questions.

In Support  of Senior night for GCMS-Fisher Soccer, they are selling T-Shirts. They are hoping to  “Paint the Pitch Orange"  Order forms are  located in the  office for anyone interested in ordering. Orders are due by Sep 19, 2023

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  Even if you do not want a check-in today please be sure to log-in and submit that you do not want a check-in.  We want all students to be comfortable with this process.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. Zook can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch if you still need to.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
