GCMS Middle School

Good morning GCMS Middle School! Today is Tuesday, February 14th.  Happy Valentine’s Day!

Would you now please rise and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Good luck to our volleyball teams tonight.  They will be playing in their final regular season home matches which means that tonight is also 8th grade night.  Please consider coming out to support our teams.  Students, just a reminder that you have free admission.

Good luck to our wrestling team tonight as they will be on the road in Clinton in a tri-meet with Pontiac.

Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Boys Basketball players:  Uniform turn-in and awards presentations will be Wednesday after school in the cafeteria.  Players need to be sure that the gear they return is clean and they should plan to be picked up by 4:30.  See Coach Berry if you have any questions.

Students, just as a reminder to yesterday afternoon’s announcement, tardies will now reset every two weeks.   This means that for the next two weeks, students may only accumulate three tardies.  If you are late to class more than three times over the next two weeks you will receive a lunch detention.

Also students, please do not let Valentine’s Day distract you from the real reason why you are here.  The focus today should be the same as any other day.  Your priorities should be to be a good person and to make sure you get all of your academic responsibilities taken care of today.  We are now just over half-way done with the 3rd quarter so please be sure to check your grades and work extra hard in any classes that you may be struggling in.

We would like for all students to do their check-in during the 1st hour.  This helps make sure that Mrs. V and Mrs. J can get to anyone who wants a check-in throughout the day.

Also students, please make sure that your cellphones are off and stored in your locker and please be sure to sign up for hot lunch.

Students, please remember to follow our school-wide expectations of Be on Time, Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Thank you and have a fantastic day Falcons!
