GCMS After School Program
Dear GCMS Families,
We are excited to announce the launch of GCMS After School program for the 2026-2027 school year! This program will serve students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade and will replace the CAPS after-school program.
This program has been designed to provide families with a safe, structured, and engaging environment for students after the school day ends. Participants can look forward to a variety of age-appropriate activities including homework support, recreational games, arts and crafts, STEM exploration, outdoor play, and opportunities to build positive relationships with peers and staff.
As we transition to this new program, we are committed to making the registration process as smooth as possible. Spaces for this program will be limited due to space limitations and staffing so please register as soon as possible.
Registration will open soon and will occur in two phases:
Phase 1: Families currently served by the CAPS program will have the first opportunity to register.
Phase 2: Registration will then be opened to new families on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on program availability.
Additional information regarding registration dates, fees, hours of operation, and program policies will be shared in the coming days. We encourage families to watch for updates through district communications, email, and our website.
We are excited to offer this program and look forward to serving our GCMS families with a high-quality after-school experience that supports students academically, socially, and emotionally.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We can't wait to welcome your children to GCMS this fall!
Sincerely,
Jeremy Darnell
Superintendent
