GCMS Families, 

We are looking forward to upgrading a number of our outdoor facilities this summer. This will mean that access to certain areas will be limited for some time periods, so here is a breakdown of the projects and areas that will be impacted. Areas that will be inaccessible are shaded in red in the maps below.

High School Track
Demolition of the current track will begin on May 6. The entire track will be off limits, along with the gravel roads accessing the track from the northeast and southwest corners. The concession stand, restrooms, and softball field will remain accessible through the end of the softball season. We do not expect the track and football field to be accessible until August 20.
Middle School Outdoor Fields
Work will begin on May 19 and is expected to go through July 14. The outdoor areas marked in red will not be accessible from the Middle School parking lots. Those utilizing the baseball fields or grassy areas outside of the construction area are encouraged to park on the streets south of the Middle School.

PreK Outdoor Area
We will be updating the outdoor space on the north end of the Elementary School from June 1 - July 4. This will not affect traffic passing by but will block off the parking spots on the northeast corner of the building. 

Elementary School South Playground
Work on the update of the playground will begin June 9 and the playground will be unavailable until August 4. Traffic should not be affected but parking spots along N. Lott Blvd and 15th street in the southeast corner of the grounds will be blocked.
